Stay focus on your abilities rather than your inabilities. Staying focus on your capabilities is an important factor in becoming successful in life. You must remain focus on what you have. Never look on your limitations. Instead of focusing on the “have nots” focus on the things you have and can do. Let what you have work for you. Every day I use the knowledge I have acquired to maintain success in my purpose. If I was to focus on all the “have nots” in life I would not be writing to encourage you today. I have discovered a greater joy in using what I have to help others instead of focusing on what I do not have or cannot do. I put my trust in God to accomplish my purpose, knowing that with Him there are no limitations. Don’t limit your possibilities of being successful because you don’t think you have anything of value. God has given each of us a gift, it is our ability to influence others. There are no limits to your success when you know your scope of influence. Your capacity for success is not based on what you have but how you use what you have. In the Bible Jesus tells the story of a ruler who was going on a trip and called three of his servants and gave each one talents (money). To the first he gave five talents, to the second servant he gave two talents and he gave one talent to the third servant. After a long time the ruler returned from his trip, he called each of his servants to enquire what they have done with the talents he had given them. The servant who received five talents traded with them and gained five more talents. The second servant who had two talents did the same and received two more talents also. The servant who received one talent didn’t think he had enough to do anything so instead of making what he had work for him, he buried his talent. When the ruler called, him he dug it out of the ground and gave it back to the ruler. The ruler considered his first two servants faithful stewards, but the third servant he considered to be a wicked servant, because he didn’t even put the talent in the bank to gain interest. Therefore, he took the talent from him and gave it to the servant who he had given five talents. (Matthew 25:14-29) If you don’t use what you have it cannot be profitable to you. In moments when you find yourself thinking of what you don’t have, start doing something with what you have. Value what you have. Don’t limit yourself. Focus on your possibilities. TODAY’S CHALLENGE: What do you have in your hand? Make a list of at least five skills that you have. Of the five skills which is your strongest? What are you doing with it to help others? Are you making it work for you or, do you complain of not having enough? QUOTE OF THE DAY “God can only use what you give to Him.”

How you think about life results in the quality of life you live. Your thoughts are important, so meditate on words that bring life.
In spite of all the obstacles I have faced in my life, one of the things that have kept me going are these words the Lord spoke to me when I was much younger “you have creative power within you, and everything you touch will prosper.” These words have been my guide in my ups and downs. I held on to these words as truth and life. I believe everything God has spoken to me and I know His words will never return void. I choose to meditate on words which bring life. As a Christian I choose to meditate on the words of God. I also listen to godly-men and woman who are leading successful lives based on biblical principles. I read books and listen to audio messages which fosters positive encouragements and personal developments. I also write my own affirmations and speak positive things over myself at times. Most times than others you will be your own “motivator, encourager, picker-upper and dream inspirationalist.” There are many mediums in which you can attain materials that promote positivity. Adopt a life style that thrives on growth and productivity. Surround yourself with people who uplift your spirit and challenge you. Keep a clear and clutter free mind. Don’t allow negative vibes or energy to drain your emotions. Guard your heart! Don’t give inner court access to people who are designed to stay in the outer court of your life. Only give people the information and attention they need, which is a principle I learned from observing the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus knew the art of dealing with people. He ministered to the multitudes, empowered and sent out seventy-two men to minister while He was on earth, He discipled twelve men, however He was friendly with only three and always took time for Himself to pray. TODAY'S CHALLENGE: What are your thoughts dwelling on? Are you allowing your thoughts to drain your energy? Take a moment to analyses your thoughts. If your thoughts are not positive, then change what you are thinking about and develop a successful mindset to become successful in life. QUOTE OF THE DAY "You have creative power within you, and everything you touch will prosper." As I sat reflecting on my life I realized that I have a lot for which to be thankful. While reflecting I began to write down some of the things that have helped me along my life’s journey. Life is full of challenges, nonetheless, they are still not reasons enough not to try and build a worthwhile life. Certainly, there are times when I have search for the meaning of life and what I have to offer.
The one think that has remained constant throughout my life as early as my childhood days is my faith in God. My belief that there is a higher power, a supreme being. A creator, one who made the universe and everything therein, it is with this belief I press forward to rise above life challenges. It is my desire to share with you some of the lessons I have learned and continue to learn along journey of life. Follow me on this journey each day and let’s see what more we can learn together. I pray you are empowered and equipped to continue on your life’s journey and become successful at being you. What is it do you want to accomplish in life? Can you identify one thing that has been constant in your life? Make a list of your dreams and aspirations so you can see where your heart lies. QUOTE OF THE DAY “Your journey to success is not a single road to travel, but a journey of life woven through different terrains.” |
